I’m a sophomore spring transfer student. I have been placed in a townhouse for the spring semester. I really do not know much about them, although I know they are freshman only. Housing is real tight this spring and transfers are being put anywhere there is room, which is why I’ve been put in a townhouse as a sophomore.

Can you please give me your oppinions on the townhouses. What are they like? Is it hard to get around, since I know they are all the way on north campus. Also, do people generally enjoy their stay while living there?

My son lives in a townhouse at Cornell. They are very close to RPCC and some other dorms. Design-wise they are two bedrooms up and a LR DR K down. (There are also one or two handicapped accessible units with 2-3 BR that are flats.) The bus stops right on Jessup by the townhouses.

My S told me that occasionally some of the girls they know would come over and bake cookies – that the kitchen that they didn’t use was a big draw …

My S and his housemates like the townhouse a lot. I think the distance thing is overrated. Just MHO/mom opinion.

my gf lived in the townhouses last year. They were awesome … big, but also much quieter than the other dorms on north. The ‘distance’ thing is overrated as well, I’d live in the townhouses over any other dorm.
