I certainly heard her say what sounded like she does. She could have been referring to some other disease they shared, but I doubt it.
Local Detroit news just reported that she clarified her comment. Gladys Knight said she had cancer, but it was stage I breast cancer & she is fine now.
She certainly looked very thin yesterday. Hope she’s okay.
It sounds like the disease they have in common is “cancer” but there’s a huge difference between pancreatic cancer, a disease with a c.7% 5-year survival rate and Stage 1 breast cancer, a disease with a 100% 5-year survival rate if treated appropriately.
