Global Market: What are your thoughts?

This forum is a great spot to get a feel for how everyone is handling their investments during this time of turmoil in the worlds markets.

There are as many opinions as there are people to talk about it. Since most of the adults on this site have investments and are closing in on retirement within the next ten years I thought I’d see what the general feeling is.

H is “stay the course, this is a blip” guy.

I have been pushing to get out, sit safely and get back in later.

So far we have compromised…but it’s killing me.

I treat my investments: 401k, IRA, Home, Kid like my household: A little bit of this and that, everything in moderation, stick to the basics.

After the last quarter’s statements, I thought, might be a good time to take these profits and hold them in something more stable. Then the market fell. Now I’d stay in. Selling as it starts to feel scary is not the way to profit, as seems too based on herd emotion. I’m no expert. And also not retiring soon, or possessed of great assets.

Glad you started this thread, as wondered what the responses would be to just this question.
