GMAT Applying procedure

Hi,

I wanted to know that when we appear for a GMAT, do we select some colleges to whom we want to apply for, so that the score directly goes to them? Or is the applying procedure totally independent of that?

For example, can we appear and get our score and then apply to the colleges or do we have to select the college(s) before hand?

Thanks!
G

If I remember correctly, when you sign up for a GMAT test date you can choose up to five (5) b-schools to report your score to and this is free of charge. If you wish to report later, you have to pay for each school you report to.

Great… so can we also select the session we intend to apply for? Say I appear next year in 2007 jan, and I select 5 colleges… so do I also get to select the session I am applying for, like 2008 fall?
