gmat score

I am heading off the my first year of college this September. I was bored today and took a practice gmat test. I scored a 490. Granted I have several years to ready myself for this test, but I was wondering what schools have an average gmat score of around 500.

MBA & MS programs at most flagships require a 500 score. Some smaller publics less.

Bad ones do. You will want to score much higher than that.

I’ve found a general proxy for expected GMAT score is dividing your SAT (M+V) by 2. You will definitely improve once you practice and get used to the format.

IQ=26.8+0.085*GRE

I’m not sure this is very accurate though. According to this, I should have a GMAT combined score of 1661, which is impossible to get. My IQ isn’t listed on this table though (168 WAIS).

My SAT was 1340, which correlates with a GMAT score of 1280 combined and an IQ of 133. I didn’t study for the SAT though, so I bet my GMAT would be higher if I studied.
