What are the pros and cons of going into pharmacy or nursing? How hard is it to get into pharmacy schools and transferring into a nursing school? What do you do in pharmacy school? in nursing school? anything helps!
Look at the schools program. Some schools do nursing in 4 years with hands on experience starting early in the program. Other schools make it a less intense 5 year program (costing you more in tuition) with hand on experience late in the program. The difference between the two types of programs besides cost is you get the opportunity early on to see if it’s what you really want to do before spending all the money and time on a program that you’ve decided really isn’t for you.
Pharmacy often is a postgraduate program. You can major in just about anything, and then apply to pharmacy school. Check the admission requirements for the DPharm programs in your state. Chances are that many of the basic science courses required are also required for the nursing programs.

If you prefer working directly with patients, then nursing is better. If you would rather work in a pharmacy and have extensive knowledge of drugs, side effects, interactions, and such pursue pharmacy. The choice relates to intimacy and are hands on or prefer to work as a member of a team in providing health services.
