<p>Hi I will be an incoming sophomore and will be taking the SAT my junior year and maybe even towards the end of my sophomore year. Is around a 1500 good enough to get into South Carolina, UT at Austin, Towson, Indiana, NC State? With a 3.1 gpa?</p>
<p>I would say that it depends on your major. You still have plenty of time in high school. Try to get a 3.5! If you study a little for the SAT you can get an above average score like a 1700-1900 range. You didn’t list your extra-curriculars, but make sure you work on that. Good luck. I think you can get into those schools with some effort.</p>
