I am currently a mechanical engineering major student at Stony Brook university going into my third year. While taking the engineering classes for my major, I have also been taking various art classes. It’s midway into my third year here as an Mech major, but I’ve realized that along with pursuing an engineering degree, I also innately want to pursue my artistic interests. I don’t know what to do right now. I thought about transferring out and switching my major entirely but I also really want to finish my Mech degree. I also don’t want to switch out because I have already invested 2 1/2 years into Mech and I don’t want that to go to waste. I’ve also been looking into going back to school again for a different degree but nothing has provided me with a solid answer with my case specifically. Any suggestions on what I should do?
