Going in blind

So I called today and the financial aid office says that I won’t get any idea of my financial aid package until a couple of days and it’s not guaranteed I will get it before May 1. (I’d faxed my tax forms earlier, but it wasn’t received and I was only told April 23. And I was told they were only on April 19th right now. My question is is it advisable to just enroll even though I have no clue how good/bad my financial aid is?

My EFC is 0 for FAFSA. And I would be undecided at HSS if I did enroll.

Other options:
NYU: horrible fa package.
George Washington University: very generous package.
UCSD: i’m instate, so package is fairly generous.

If I were you, I’ll do two things now

 1. Enroll in GWU
 2. Talk to CMU’s officers and ask them if they can extend the enrollment deadline for you because you dont want to go there and then drop off.

So you could end up going to GWU if CMU didn’t give you enough money or go to CMU and just let GWU have the deposit you paid.
