Going into Accouting is this to much in one semister

Hi, i am currently an Electrical Engineering student but decided to change my major to accounting. I have left my current University (SIUE) and going back to junior college (cheaper) to get my business pre-reqs out of the way to hopefully transfer into NIUs accounting program or possibly U OF I program. In the spring i plan on taking 17 credit hours and want to know if i should take less or if this is okay. (need 3.5 gpa for semester)
Classes i am taking are
Calc 1----5 credit class, financial accounting --3 credit, microeconomics—3credit, busn 141–3 credit, and finally intro sociology—3credit.

Should i be fine taking this load or should i consolidate my schedule. Only classes i need to transfer into NIU accounting program would be managerial accounting and statistics which i plan on taking in the summer.

It doesn’t sound that bad. Next semester I’m taking:
Acct 200 - INTRO TO FINANCIAL ACCT - 3 credits
Econ 200 - BASIC ECONOMIC ISSUES - 3 credits
Chinese 102 - 5 credits
Calc 2 - 3 credits
and English 102
