Going over credit limits

So hey, you’re another GPL/free-as-in-freedom supporter?

I’m trying my best not to sound as verbose as possible. It wasn’t my intention to write an essay (I was simply trying to express my ridicule of the current state of patent law – it was a post a couple of sentences long), and it wasn’t my intention to be caught up in a debate. If it were actually an assignment or something to be formally published, you are damn right I would do a lot of revising. But can vistany take his accusation back??

Shoe,

Didn’t you see the sign? Don’t feed the animals.

Apologies Mech. Be sure to carry some beers around Thornton with you, just in case (see other thread).

My LAST comment on this issue, because it has to do with UVA: I was never accusing you of violating the Honor Code. Duh. I was simply saying that you mention it way too much and in the wrong context. It should never be used for argumentative purposes, outside of something having to do with UVA/student/etc. It’s not the law of the land, and not for you to abuse. You’re free speech is guaranteed by the Constitution. Stop bringing up the Honor Code crap whenever you can. It’s not perfect, it doesn’t work very well, but it’s tradition of a school you’re about to join. Respect it please.

Sorry, but that had to be said. I vote that this thread be locked.

I wasn’t the one who brought it up – vistany did.

Well, the people in the video (they showed us at Orientation) did say something to the effect, “it shaped my life [even after school],” and “it influences the way I live and think” and whatnot. Must be a pretty profound principle, sufficient enough to have influenced graduates’ sense of jurisprudence outside of UVA.

Does CC even have mods?

anyways I agree. Lets drop this. If someone has more credit limit questions, a new thread would probably be a good idea.

There are 2 mods listed at the bottom of the page, but neither one has shown account activity since 2004…good job they’re doing. It’ll take the collective will to just shut up.
