I have seen Bruce a number of times and he never disappoints. My first time to see him was at a small venue in Chicago on his very first tour back when he was first being mentioned as “the next Dylan”. I also am not thrilled with the new album. I like the old stuff. Since I pretty much switched over to country music, a lot of Bruce’s stuff seems too depressing to me, too, but I still like the beat and energy of the older tunes.

I’ve seen him live 4 times. After every concert, the thought of leaving my family and kids and following the band has crossed my mind.

The Concert I Didn’t Attend:
Bruce gave a concert at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas in early 1996. Tickets went on sale in early November 1995. I gave birth in early November 1995. After I got home from the hospital, my sister called. I expected a congratulatory call. No. She was calling to see if I had gotten Springsteen tickets for us. Sorry, I was busy giving birth. (Sign of the times, actually. With online ticket sales and wi fi, these days it would be easy to score tickets from the hospital.)

^^I’m just joking with you. I have a friend from Boston who refuses to call it anything but the Garden and still curses the Canadians who changed it. :)

Just returned from his show here in Philly, very good, yet again…some of his best songs were older stuff, though Wrecking Ball and We take Care of our own were excellent from the new album…my favorite was ‘Kitty’s Back’ the band was superb on this one…

Great moments were when he made tributes to Clarence and Danny…
