<p>I currently live in michiga, and I’m debating heavily on going to a college outside of michigan. Last year I live in california, And it was awesome. My problem is: shpould I simply go back to California, or try and go to some other random state for college. I need input and some suggestions on college life in another state besides mine. What’s the most epic state to attend collge in? What’s college life like? HELP!</p>

<p>Hey, Erick…if you like what California has to offer, look for schools in that state that will serve your interests the most. Ultimately, you should find a school that is most “epic” for you and will lead you down the path you seek to take. I don’t know that there is a “most epic state” in which to attend college because every student is different. Hawaii would seem to be an amazing backdrop for attending school, but imagine the cost of going home for Christmas to Michigan. Conversely, Minnesota would seem too cold, but many students attend colleges in that state and absolutely love the place.</p>
<p>I went to school in northwest Indiana. Doesn’t sound exciting on the surface, but I made some great friends and had a great education. Plus, I was within easy driving distance of home and got to visit my beloved Lake Michigan on many occasions 
It isn’t sunny, warm California, but it was “the most epic” for me.</p>
<p>If are eligible for financial aid from your state government, be aware that in many states, they will not provide grants for out of state colleges. Other states allow their college grants to be used out of state, but the amounts are much less. Some states allow their grants to be used in some states, but not others, based upon whether that other state allows their grants to be used out of state.</p>

OOS publics often give lousy aid
privates that give the best aid often require strong stats for admittance.
