I came from different country about 3 years ago so I applied at the Middlesex county college but since my native language is not English they can give me ESL and during I take ESL am not allow to take any other courses for my major so i decided to finish my ESL and get ENG121 at ESSEX in one semester but the classes is only on every Saturday so I want to take other classes like math and science classes in Middlesex county college during weekdays at the same time. Can anyone tell me if I can do that or not? If the Middlesex county college will allow me to take those courses without taking English there? Help

Priya, there’s a reason why you’re not supposed to take ESL and English 121 at the same time. If you need ESL classes, you’re not ready to take freshman composition. And if you’re ready to take English 121, you’re wasting your time and money in ESL classes, and you should talk to somebody at the college about testing out of them.

But as far as I know, as long as you have enough time and money, there’s no reason why you can’t take classes at two different community colleges at the same time.

you can’t take ESL and English 121 at the same time, however you could take a math, science, or art history class (for example) along with your ESL class, or even ESL + 2 other classes. However stay away from classes that require a lot of reading.
