I usually really enjoy the red carpet as well. However what I increasingly can’t stand is the E! type hosts who greet the celebs - it’s SO fake and trite! And honestly often their fashion is the WORST!
I think it was rough for Jennifer Aniston to have to read someone else’s serious words cold. I’m giving her slack.

What was Jennifer Lopez thinking with the green dress and gold bow??? The braided bun was a little off too. Apparently, she wore another dress to the after-party.
I expected When They See us and especially Jharrel Jerome to win an award.
I usually like Gervais, but I didn’t like his bit about Judi Dench.
I liked how Gervais let the crowd have it regarding Harvey Weinstein, Apple, Amazon and the like.
@compmom I was shocked that When They See Us had no nominations at all. Jharrel Jerome gave a superb performance. Others in the cast were quite good as well.
Every American should watch that limited series.

Gervais’ humor rarely appeals to me and when multiple comments have to be beeped out (I’m not prude when it comes to language), it’s not fun for the home viewer and just becomes an inside joke.
