Yes, she looks like a normal 47-year old, but when she spoke, there were some serious lines around her mouth. I guess it could be from makeup that was too ‘thick’, and the makeup itself began to crack as she spoke.
OK… this is now the 4th time today I’ve seen the McDonald’s commercial. Anyone think they’re attempting a major image makeover?
Ok, I’ve gotta say that the camera work has been NOT GREAT. It looked like the camera person dropped the camera when The Affair won, and earlier they didn’t cut to Reese Witherspoon when Tina and Amy spoke about her, other reaction shots were slow…what gives?
teri, yes–they must have a new branding agency or something. They are clearly working off new positioning. I will say the spots I have seen today have been well produced–I saw a motion-graphics one during the Packers game and later the one trying to connect McD’s to communities via the local messages on the signs.
I think the whole production tonight seems off and second rate - do they always do it in this venue? Just seems like they are at any hotel ballroom in a largish city. And that weird thing passageway they walk through to get to the stage?? Just seems weird to me.
My impression is that she has lost A LOT of weight. And I didn’t really think she needed to. But looking at the actresses tonight, it’s clear that thin is still in.
Loved the snake, saintfan, but did not love the dress. It was OK. The other gal’s yellow dress looked better, too bad it had the sequins/sparkles thingies.
Kevin Spaceys speech made me teary.
I met Stanley Kramer once.
He retired to where I lived in early 80’s and entertained my baby daughter while I got our lunch at a McDonald’s in the mall.
I wish I had told him how much his movies meant to me and how much I appreciated what it took to get them made. But he did like playing with D.
