As the mother of a young adult adoptee who went to preschool, pre-k, elementary and middle school in Manhattan’s Chinatown (much schlepping on the subway from Brooklyn!), I am always interested in the festivities there. If any of my CC friends would like to meet up this weekend for informal festivities (lion dances, etc.) this weekend, please message me!
At the end of the holiday on 2/25, the Chinese Adoption Alliance will march in the parade, starting at the amazing elementary school my daughter attended. CAA is a group of adult adoptees who have taken over (with gratitude of the parents) Families with Children from China of Greater NY, the former adoptive parents’ support group.
