Gonzales RESIGNS

they are dropping like flies

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070827/pl_nm/usa_gonzales_dc_5;_ylt=Au_pFUf7jRNI3enkvWddVx4E1vAI

I was wondering when this would show up today. Speculations about replacement are way wild.

The rats really are jumping the ship, aren’t they?

How ironic that I’m listening to Harry Chapin this morning, and as I opened this thread, Dance Band on the Titanic started playing!

So…Vick’s appearance tightly followed by Gonzalez. TwoFer.

The only other slime-bag left is Deadeye Dick Cheney. I wonder how long it will be before he has to resign for medical reasons?

Tho I would love to see him in jail, we don’t want Cheney to resign for any reason. Bush gets to select his replacement and that could open the door for a new VP to run for pres…

Read Chertoff as potential replacement?

yea, he’s done so well with FEMA…

I feel like this whole administration is just circling the drain :-)

Maybe he can volunteer to go Iraq; even be Halliburton’s lawyer (whoops, sorry, they’re in Dubai…)

Karl Rove does it again.

Michael Vick is taking up most of the airplay leaving marginally little for the negative impact on the admin. due to Gonzales resignation.

'Tis true. Press has know for many days the Vick was the Monday story and all reporters were in place. TwoFer worked out well.

Hey, what did Gonzales do anyway, maybe torture a few Arabs here and there, nothing serious - Vick KILLED DOGGIES!!!

Blucroo, as if anyone with any integrity would want to be associated with what’s left of this administration! LOL! I would like to just see Cheney’s heart give out. Then we would be rid of the puppet master, and Bush would figuratively be left alone, with puppet strings fallen limply around him.

Gonzo is just the visible portion of the neo-conservatives. Those who advise him, understand the nature of influence and money. It is the second tier of functionaries you should be worried about.

I don’t know. It’s hard to take much satisfaction in a creep like Gonzales who has gutted our constitution and sullied America’s reputation.

Personally, I find the Sen. Craig (R. Idaho) story so much more satisfying. I wonder if he’s “good friends” with Rep. Bob Allen (R. Florida)???

I think Americans have long shown tolerance for corrupt politiicians. But we will not suffer corrupt and incompetent.

How do we teach our heirs ethics. A few months ago Gonzo said he would not quit. A few months ago, the ‘one who shall not be mentioned,’ gave unwavering support. Today he quits. 'Shwab" says that his friend has been dragged thru the mud, prevented from doing his job, etc, and sounds like he knew & approved everything that Gonzo did-which was not to remember.

If this had happened in the private enterprise sector, How long do we think this nation will survive?

BTW: I was browsing Boeing’s forum, a Larry Craig, came up. Mitt should do a little more homework.

Sigh.

I am thankful my son will be old enough to vote in the next election. It will be interesting to see what our choices are (yes, what, as in the politics/philosophies et al, not the personalities).
