good affordable Barch programs

what are the best schools for the least amount of money. Would it be more expensive to go to a public school or private art school? I was thinking: Pratt, Syracue, Cornell, or maybe NYU for art history then March at MIT. Are there any recognized programs that are more affordable?

i would like to go to a school thats more theory intensive than math intensive.

i think cooper union is no cost if you are accepted.

chubbs, If you do a search you will see quite a bit of information from the last few years on various schools, many of which are state schools (and therefore possibly a bit less expensive than some of the privates). rick12 is a great contributor to this forum and has cited several state schools that his company holds in high regard judging from the quality of their grads. Here are a few of the ones he mentioned as well as some that our s checked into a few years back: (I think all of these offer the BARCH degree)

Virginia Tech
NC State
UMD
Kansas State
Kansas
UT Austin
Texas Tech
Iowa State

Hope this helps! Good luck to you!

Cooper Union is tuition free, meaning that you still have to pay for books and dorming and other costs, which amount to about 20 thousand bucks.
