Good BME program's?

Helping advise my cousin for schools in US to apply to for next year for BME; He is international from China but goes to an “American School” in Shanghai so he really isn’t international per se (not talking about admissions, but more about language barriers with reading/writing); The schools goal I believe is to feed kids into top US uni’s and so they train them for the SAT and such lol, as he has 2100 SAT (800 M, 650R/W); for SAT 2: 720 Math 2; 800 BioM; 750 Phys

with those scores he is a decently good applicant for most all engineering schools id say, so I’m wondering what schools have good BME programs?

I obviously know JHU, Duke, MIT, etc. and such but what about Columbia fu? (I’m currently a student at Columbia so it could be good for him to go and ease him in with some family around if he can get in)

he mentions BU, not too sure about BU’s BME compared to JHU, Duke, Columbia

To answer your first question, BU has a top 20 BME program. Other top programs in the general north east would be Case Western, MIT, Michigan, Penn, Cornell, Pitt, Columbia.

One word of caution, don’t assume his stats will get him into all of those schools. Our son had high stats, and didn’t get into Rice or WashU.
