I am a potential immigrant and I am doing my HS in Bangladesh. I won’t have instate status because of that. I am looking for private schools preferably need blind ones. My parents can pay at most 7-8k a year.
I haven’t taken the SATs but I have been practising for a while and expecting 1400+. I will take three subject tests (Physics, Chemistry and Math II) and I am sure to get 750+ in all three.
I participated in a national coding competition twice and I know C, C++. I know some basic algorithms and I can solve beginner level problems. (some ad-hoc, binary search).
I’m looking for CS colleges with good programs and internship opportunities. Preferably around NYS.
First, don’t ever tell anyone that you want to immigrate when talking about studying the in USA! Or discuss it online! The wrong person hears/sees this and you’re instantly disqualified from a student visa and sent home.
Second, as an international student who needs significant financial aid, you can’t be picky about location. You have to apply widely, and to increase your chances target schools and regions less attractive to the zillions of other highly qualified internationals students who also need financial aid. (And it seems half of them want “preferably around NY” and the other half California!)
Learn the difference between schools that are need blind, need aware and meets full need.
Check out the international students thread and use Google, or other search engines to get started. There’s plenty of information here, and online for what you need.

OP, from your other threads it appears you ARE a prospective immigrant with a Green Card. That changes things. You could apply to private schools and request financial aid. Or, after moving to the US, do a gap year to gain residency (and save some money) then apply to New York state public universities also requesting financial aid. If you end up having very high SATs shoot for 4-year college/universities and apply as a freshman. Community college could be cheaper, but there is little financial aid for transfers, so a 4 year school would be preferable in your situation.
