Good clubs for volunteering?

Hi all,

I want to get involved with some volunteering clubs. I was looking for ones that are around once a week, or twice a month or something like that. I want a fun club with friendly people where I can make a difference in some people’s lives. If any of you know a club that meets these requirements or most of these, please let me know!!

I want to help people and meet new people. However, I’m in other clubs as well so I can only spend around a day a week for the volunteering. Is that so bad lostaccount? Seems like you took one paragraph I wrote and just did a lot of assuming. There’s so many volunteering clubs, and I was just asking if anyone had one they could recommend.

Beta and Key Club are some good ones (there are GPA requirements), but you might want to see if your school has a peer-tutoring program. Teaching the material you learn in class to a student who is struggling or failing is a win-win situation. You learn the material more thoroughly, and the student is able to pass the class.

Also, Habitat for Humanity is a good to join when you turn 16. From my understanding, the club meets to build houses for one weekend following some planning meetings, so it’s usually ~20 hours/ semester. No GPA requirement either!

Another good one is Alpha Phi Omega. They don’t have a GPA requirement and they do more than just volunteer work, but it’s fun! It might seem like a big commitment, but what you get out of it is worth it.
