Good College Plan, Help?

Hello,
I’m a Junior in Highschool and have been very active in looking for colleges and trying to figure out what I want to do in life. I want to work with both engineeering and if possible my overall goal is to have my own business. I didn’t know weather to get an undergrad degree in business or not, but after reading articles, I guess it’s better to get an undergrad in engineering and then an MBA in business. This makes sense since engineering is more analytical and overall more difficult and it’s easier to transfer to business management with an engineering background right? Also it would be better since business school prices are ridiculous.
So my question is, is this a good plan?
what good private universities have good engineering programs? (A school preferably in or close to Arizona like Cali, Texas, ect. Most preferably Arizona)
Would I have to go to a prestigious or really good university to get my bachelor’s degree in engineering or could I go to a cheaper one and get my Masters in Business in a more prestigious one?
Money is really a problem, so I want to make sure I am as prepared as possible.
Thank you so much.

What state do you live in, and what kind of academic credentials do you have?

Do your stats produce anything from here?

ucbalumnus: I live in Arizona but am not a resident(I do not have a social security number) therefore I dont apply to any financial aid so I want to go to a private university. My GPA isn’t great, 3.2 unweighted, 3.8 weighted but , for the first 2 years of highschool I went to the most rigorous school in the state “University High School” so, I feel like it’s much lower than it could be. I haven’t taken my sat or act but I’m scheduled to take them this summer. I did baseball for all 3 years and had no room to join other extracurricular because our baseball program goes year round. I played varsity this year, but I’m thinking about not doing it next year and joining a couple of clubs instead.

My suggestion right now is to spend a bit of your extra time studying prep books for the SAT/ACT (can usually get them from your library - just don’t write in them). If you can get great scores on those that will help you immensely in your search for merit aid.

Once you have scores, then look at school options. You have time.
