<p>Hey guys, I’m an engineering student, but my friend has chosen accounting. He’s 22 and is just getting back into school. We’re pretty close, so I know that he was pretty much ruined his credit for the time being with charge offs on credit cards. Can he still become an accountant? I was under the impression that you need good credit to enter into that field, but he says most companies don’t check. Any truth to that statement?</p>
<p>I know there’s security clearances, non-disclosure agreements, etc. involved with most accounting jobs.</p>
