Good deal?

I found a place where they sell brand new 300-TC Twin XL Sheet Sets for $11 each (before taxes). Is this a good deal, or should I wait for a better one (this was the best one I could find)?

It depends what you mean by a “good deal”. Yes, that’s a lower price than most I’ve seen, but if they fall apart in the wash, or the color runs on your face, it’s not a “good deal”.

Proceed cautiously. Google the reviews.

By “each” do you mean per sheet, or for a sheet set (fitted and flat)? That’d make a difference, too.

^for each sheet set (3-pc).

So, yes, that’s pretty inexpensive, and it would be worth trying to check out the quality.

When our S was starting college in 2006, I got him sheet sets (flannel XL twins) for $9.99/set with bottom, top & pillow case. He used them & has passed them on to D who now needs them. He’s graduated to a full-sized bed in his apartment instead. The quality was decent (remember its probably only for a year or two, depending on what your child chooses to do after the 1st year. Once the students move out of U housing, they generally don’t need XL bedding any more.

The good thing about buying ahead is you can wash the bedding to get out the chemoicals & sizing & that’s one less thing to do while moving in & settling.

That is a good price. I usually picked up bottom sheets only as my kids hate top sheets and prefer to have a cheap washable comforter only on top with an extra comforter in case in gets cold. If you know someone with former college students, they may have extras. I just got a batch from some of my older kids’ classmates moms who are done with college kids and don’t need them any more. Ask around.

Check the JCPenney catalog for comparison shopping- 2 sheets plus pillowcase prices. Or check other stores. Quality can vary- a good deal means the sheets last a few years.

Target usually has T-shirt material ones for about $14 and sometimes on sale, they last all 4 years and then some, they are still floating around our home.

Last year, I picked up 2 sets of the t-shirt twin XL sheets at Home Goods for the same price BBandB wanted for 1 set. Had a designer label (can’t recall) and were very good quality.
