Good Engineering programs that offer scholarships?

I have a friend with good SAT scores (mid 1400s two-way), good grades from an IB progam, and strong extracurriculars, who is looking for schools with good Engineering programs that might offer him significant merit scholarship money. His famliy likely will not qualify for significant financial aid, but probably some. Any ideas?

No guarantees, but Rice has a top engineering program and offers merit aid to about 1/3 of accepted students.

Try Olin (though it’s a reach for everybody). They offer 80000 to all accepted students and then you can apply for more. Plus it’s Olin!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have passed them on and will welcome others.

Provided you have the stats, check out Purdue and Iowa State. Automatic merit $ at these two.

Purdue had a Nov 15th deadline and I don’t think they are automatic.
