<p>can anyone think of some good excuses to get out of a roooming assignment on campus…anything will do. medical excuses welcomed.</p>

<p>It also depends on what your original room assignment is and what you want it to be. Are you trying to get a single or a floor change or a different building?</p>
<p>Claiming to have uncontrollable flatulence allowed a cop in the movie “Crash” to get to patrol in a car without a partner. You could consider that excuse. I doubt you’d be asked to prove it. ;)</p>
<p>at my school there are two diferent campuses…one of them is disconnected from the main campus. This is the campus i’m on…this means that i will have to take a 10 minute bus ride to go to class/go to the gym/ go to the games/ and go to parties etc. meaning i cant do dance because that would require way too much travelling…so i just like…need to get switched the the main campus asap.</p>
<p>then explain you ‘do dance’ and need to be on the main campus for it. either that or suck it up like everyone else that will be on that campus.</p>

<p>10 mins really is not far to travel, it just takes a little more time organization. </p>
<p>I have no idea how much time dance would take … so i dont want to be quick to judge … but you may find it is not as bad as you thought it would be. There are others living with you right? Its not like there is only 5 of you, and you are completely isolated from the rest of the university. If there are others then i am pretty sure there will be some life where you are, their own parties etc.</p>
<p>If you use a medical excuse you would have to make it one that would allow you to be able to dance otherwise it will look really suss. </p>

<p>Besides, changing rooming assignments isn’t necessarily going to get you to the other campus. Even if successful, you might just be changing rooms.</p>

<p>just go talk to the person in charge of housing and explain your problem. that is your best shot.</p>
