Good extra curricular ideas?

I'm currently in my school's math team, newspaper club, student council, band, and Mouse squad (a program in which the students fix the school's computers and other technical issues). I'm only a freshman but I wanted to be involved in more extra curricular activities revolving around being a leader. Do you have any suggestions?

Do what you enjoy and if you truly love it then you should be able to get a leadership position. A lot of time you don't get leadership positions until you're an upperclassman, though I suppose there are the exceptions.

Anyways, you have a lot of ECs and you're looking for quality not quantity, you don't want a laundry list.

Mouse squad? That's so cute. :)

Don't just take suggestions from us. Do what you love. Passion will get you to leadership positions, not a laundry list of ECs.

Just saying, anything we post here can be stolen but my advice:
There are two categories any possible specific suggestions will fall under:

1) Topics too fantastical or difficult that you will be unable to do.

2) Topics so pedestrian that they won't have any college admissions boost.

Therefore, asking for specific suggestions is meaningless. HOWEVER, I sill have some advice. Always keep some time open for new stuff. You never want to say you can't meet with a famous scientists/poet/ etc. because you can't find the time.

Look for ways to combine or meld different interests. For example, combining Mouse squad and community service by teaching teachers or the homeless computer skills.

Never do anything just to look good on college apps. If they are boring to you, what makes you think you can convey excitement to adcoms?

Don't schedule your life away. Enjoy your time in high school.
