Is Harvard the best college to attend for medicine or is Johns Hopkins better? Same question for med. school, would you recommend Harvard or Johns Hopkins?

Well if you’re dead sure you want to study medicine, neither. You might want to consider a BA/MD program. Both schools want students to experience liberal arts rather than focusing on a science and then applying to med school. And their medical schools are great but that doesn’t mean undergrads can take full advantage of those resources.

so what colleges are good for premed then?

bump, I would like to know also.

a school that has some grade inflation and excellent opportunities to help you get into med school.
Harvard would be a good choice for that

typically avoid the public schools which care squawt on what happens to you

Rice/Baylor program, UPenn 2 year premed program. This is if you’re DEAD SURE you’re going med and want to get in OChem right away.

Holy Cross (45 minutes west of Boston) has an excellent record in preparing students for the health professions. Graduates are admitted to medical school at a rate twice the national average, and more than 10 percent of Holy Cross alumni are currently practicing medicine.

googol123,
could you please explain what " UPenn 2 year premed program" is?

Thanks

Brown has a premed program (4+4) and Northwestern has a combined (7 years) pre-med program. Also Caltech has a joint program with UC San Diego too. You will need to apply this at time time of the application. UCSD has a very strong program too and you apply to the program after the admission.
