Good grades and a good life?

I’m finding it hard to balance having fun and getting good grades right now. I’m constantly in the hovel of low to mid 90s on tests, and I want to do something about that. However, I don’t want to give up on things I love doing (listening to pop music, piano, drawing, and volunteering). I don’t want to give up my friends either. They don’t have the best grades, but my friends are trying their best (most of them are in honors). I prefer to hang out with them, because I feel like our relationship is more based on friendship/loyalty than on schoolwork/grades.

Is there a way to get top grades and keep doing things I love and hang out with my best friends?

If you’re a procrastinator…then I highly suggest you stop procrastinating. If you still do, here’s another method: I highly recommend prioritizing…everybody has a class that they somehow find easy (prove me wrong). What you do is you do your best to finish the hard class homework and then you do the easy work in the end AFTER you’ve hung out with your friends. I don’t know how your life works but that’s how I’d do it. You’ll lose a minimal amount of sleep cause you’ll be procrastinating easy homework. If you have doubts, just ask yourself: “What’s life without happiness in the company of others,” especially a high schooler.
