Good Grades, Bad SAT score

I just did my first SAT and my scores were really low
1700s to be precise.

However, I have competitive ECs and a predicted score in the high 30’s for IB that would put me in the league with other Ivy League Applicants.

I know that I most likly will improve on my 2nd shot, (students in my school who are ranked 50 odd places lower than me got SAT scores that were 200 points higher) but in case something goes wrong again… what are my chances into schools like UVA, NYU and Claremount Mckenna?

Also, If I do get a 2100, 2200 on my second shot … should I reconsider applying to Ivy schools or does my first school make if impossible for me to get in?

If you do not get a 2150+ on your second shot, then yes, you should reconsider applying to Ivies, but as of now I cannot see how you would get in. UVa and NYU will require an SAT of at least 2000 for you to be competitive.

More information is needed.
