Sorry I accidentally wrote this in the prep school chances thread.
I have been doing robotics for around 5 years, and am currently on a team which is second in the country currently and may qualify for a world competition. As I couldn’t find much information about the engineering/robotics programs at Hotchkiss, which I am applying to, would it be a good idea to email a teacher there for more information about their programs?
I have read on other threads that the appropriate approach is to send your email to the AO who interviewed you and ask them to forward it to the appropriate teacher. If you have already communicated with the teacher or met them on the visit then I’d say it’s ok to email them directly. My daughter has been emailing with coaches she met and coaches she didn’t get a chance to meet but will go back to meet. They have all been very nice but they are really busy so don’t expect an immediate reply.
