Good list of schools to apply to?

I’m a senior in Georgia, & I’m trying to make sure a have a good mix of safety/match/reach schools, and also would like some suggestions for other schools to apply to
3.87 gpa
2010 SAT (630r,680w,700m)
taking ACT in Oct
6 APs (2 Junior Year, 4 this year) (Accidentally sent a 2 in APUSH to Tech :…)
Not very many ECs, prob weakest part of my applications, no leadership
Band: Marching (9-12), Concert&Symphonic (9-12), Pep Band,(9,11,12)
Beta Club, gonna join Spanish Honor Society
Volunteer/Work experience- volunteering at Gwinnett arena for band (9-12), family business over summer (10-11)
Working on my essay, it’s about representation&diversity in media(something I’m passionate about)
Interested in Computer Science, Media Design, or Computer Graphics

Schools I’m applying to:
Georgia Tech
Georgia State (EA, honors college probably)
Boston University
NYU
Virginia Tech
UNC - Chapel Hill
Possibly William & Mary
Maybe Columbia

So for safeties I only really have GSU and VT, and as for the other schools do you think they’re good matches? reaches? I’m open to any suggestions, & I’d appreciate the help thank you!

I personally think that you’re list is a very good mix of safties, matches, and reaches! However, if you’re not from Virginia, I wouldn’t say that VT is a “saftey” for you, I would call it more of a “low match” since most state schools favor in-state students versus out-of-state ones. Good luck!
