good match schools for me?

I’ve been looking at tons of colleges but i manage to fall in love with really really selective ones each time…

gpa: 4.0 unweighted
race: asian/white girl (worst possible i know)
1rst in class
2140 on SAT’s (800 on V, 660 M, 680 WR, taking it again in Dec)
nhs member, ran for president and lost this year, last year i won a $10,000 scholarship to study in japan for a year (10 awarded out of 183 applicants) so that’s where I spent my junior year… i tried concert choir and track and swim team but i hated all of them, i’ve done tons of community service picking up trash everywhere, senior hospital, family english-learning type organization, etc. i devote a lot of time to making art, reading books, and working out which aren’t as good looking as heading clubs. i’m taking 3 of the 4 ap classes offered at my school, but the other i couldn’t take because of scheduling conflicts.

i really like communications/media studies, arts, advertising, literature…

any suggestions at all would be awesome!

ne tips how u got 800 v?

Match:
NYU
Grinnell
Oberlin
Scripps
Northwestern
USC

Most of the big schools (minus Cornell, Stanford, Duke) are less selective, so they’re more safeties, even if they are amongst the strongest schools.

Grades are fantastic, SAT’s are pretty solid, EC’s could use work. If you still have time, get REALLY involved with one or two EC’s and the schools you’re falling in love with are in sight.

thanks so much 2 iron!! these schools are really great. i am applied to usc and am working on northwestern and nyu.

zainuu, i have NO IDEA how i got an 800 verbal, as i’d been living in japan for 9 months at the time i took it. i just went through tons of practice sat’s on my own.

I hope all of the students read this sentence and take it to heart.
