good national/state percentiles, but bad school percentiles... should I retake?

<p>For CR, my percentile dropped 8% and for math 21% from the national to school percentiles!!</p>

<p>I go to a competitive school and have heard that colleges judge you based against your school… otherwise I was happy with my score. Should I retake the SAT?</p>

<p>Your percentile is irrelevant. Retake it if you want a higher score.</p>

<p>i wouldn’t suggest retake it if you are happy with your score. i’m in the same situation, my math dropped like 20 something percentile from national to school. like mentioned before, percentiles don’t really matter that much</p>

<p>I agree with Grandfatherbob…the only time you need to really look at your percentiles is for the PSATs Junior year</p>
