Good Navy Book

Has anyone here ever read “The Road to Gold” by Lt. Commander William H. LaBarge? I picked it up one day at a used bookstore 6-7 years ago simply because it had a plane on the front. Turns out the book is a very detailed, although fictional, account of a young mans journey to get his “wings of gold.” Over the past several years I have re-read it, every time getting something out of it I hadn’t previously. It’s easier to connect with the characters as I become older and my career as a member of the military is about to take flight. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in becoming a naval aviator.
