I’m a high school junior with a 86.6/ B unweighted GPA(my state does GPAs out of 100) and I’m looking for schools in the northeast to apply to within my grade range. Nothing highly prestigious but still good schools that are easier to get into(acceptance rate around 40% or higher) Any suggestions?
Any idea what you want to do or what your budget is? It also helps if you tell us what type of classes you are taking at high school (AP/Honors/IB).
Look at the Colleges that Change Lives list. Some of those could work.
Almost all states have directional colleges that are easier to get accepted to than the flagship. Have you looked at the public universities in your home state…not the flagship?
Hi! I think you need to give us a bit more information – any idea what you want to study? Do you want a big college/small college, city or suburbs, are you looking for rah-rah sports? Any other information might be helpful.
What’s your home state as well ?
Do you have a test ?
What level of math will you be in next year ? How many APs overall.
The good news - dependent on budget and interests, the sky is the limit for you.
What is your home state? Do you have any idea what major you might be interested in? What is your budget? What can your parents afford without taking on debt?
Do you know what your approximate rank is in your high school? Are you in the top 50% of students? Are you in the top 30% of students?
Do you prefer smaller schools or larger schools? Do you have a preference regarding being in a city, small town, suburbs, or somewhere else?
I am wondering about UNH, U.Maine, or U.Mass Lowell. I do however have trouble guessing what your chances would be at these schools.
Like everyone else has mentioned, it would be helpful if you provided more info. However, off the top of my head, what about some rolling admissions schools like Pitt or one of the satellite schools from Penn State in their 2+2 program?
Budget? Test scores? Intended major?

There are a ton in the Northeast which fit that description.
