I am starting research for a project on the topic of homework and whether schools are going in the wrong direction by attaching so much importance to it. I have read Kohn’s The Homework Myth (2007), Kralovec & Buell’s The End of Homework (2000), and Vatterott’s Rethinking Homework (2009). I would really appreciate any suggestions on recent research-based books or articles (either pro or con) on the subject of homework in grade school, middle school, and high school.

Are you extending your research to include out of classroom work in college? Seems logical to do so.

I am most interested in 9-12 because that is the world in which I work. However, I am interested in K-8 as well as college homework research as well.
