Right now, I am enrolled in a SAT prep program. Being a freshman in high school, I have been prepping for the new SAT which is graded on a 1600 scale.
Is a 1470 a good score for a freshman? (770 math and 700 reading & writing).
If I did this well proportionately on the current SAT, I would be sitting at a 2205. But, do new SAT scores really compare like that?

1470/1600 is a very good score for a freshman. That’d get you full tuition at Bama.
That score is good for a senior.
That is definitely a great score and my guess is that it will be at least 95th percentile. Concordance tables for the redesigned SAT and the current SAT will be released after the May test so as of now they can’t really be compared and I doubt it’ll be as simple as multiplying the number by 1.5.
