Got a 1460 on the New SAT. Should this be good enough to be a contender for schools like UVA, William and Mary, and maybe Cornell? My GPA and EC’s are super solid, so I’m wondering if I should retest or let it lie. Thanks!
Let me do a quick conversion to the old one for you, assuming you did even on both, it would be about a 2100 on old sat(PrepScholar), this is probably good for the first two, but for Cornell you might need to try a little harder. I’m keeping my current 1450 but that’s because I have a 35 to fall back on

Virginia schools are very difficult to get into for out-of-state students. Keep that in mind
Concordance tables from college board reveal that your score translates to a 2090. A solid score but, I would retest.
Is a 34 ACT better?
Cornell is a reach for anyone. You have to make yourself stand out there. UVA is very hard for out of state.
34 ACT is better than 1460 SAT.
