Hi I have a 670 on my CR sat score and a 640 for my math. This is the new sat and I recently received my AP scores. I took 3 this year and I did not do well 1 on AP stats 3 on APUSH and 3 on English language and Composition. I know everyone says it doesn’t matter if you do well on APs but I want to know if I can send them or not. The schools I’m looking at include Denison, university of Maryland, Fordham, St. Lawerence, Colgate, and University of Richmond. Please give me your HONEST opinions about everything thank you so much!!!
I wouldn’t send them if you have good grades in those classes. I know ppl who didn’t send and ended up fine
I actually know a girl who didn’t send her APs and got into Maryland
The vast majority of schools don’t want your AP scores except if you want class credit AFTER admission.
The best way to get a sense of the likelihood of admission is to look at the student profile for the current freshman year class and then see if you are in the top 75% or at least upper half of median range, if not any school is a reach - Colgate will definitely be a super reach and Richmond a reach unless you have a hook.
I wouldn’t send them if I were you. I am also planning on applying to Colgate and Richmond!
