Good School for 3.0 student

I know there are tons of schools out there appropriate for my son (now a sophomore), but I’m looking for actual experiences from parents with kids like mine. He is a very bright ADD kid who just doesn’t like school very much. He’s very social and a football player and I think he’d get a lot out of a “big” college experience (sports, fraternities, etc). His focus is improving a lot. Any recommendations for schools beyond the obvious (ASU, OSU, OREGON) would be great. He can go pretty much anywhere and doesn’t need financial aid.

I think the GPA for students on CC are skewed. I know my daughter’s friend who has 3.4uw+2100ish SAT +4 years sport got into USC. Another friend has 3.5-3.6uw+2000ish SAT+ minor EC got into WUSTL. They are both full paying fares. So it’s best to look at your school’s naviance.

You might want to utilize the [College MatchMaker](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) utility at the CollegeBoard site. The ‘Admissions’ tab allow you to put a High School GPA filter.
