Good schools for a smart girl looking to major in religion/bio/english?

Female high school senior in PA
I look white and have a Caucasian last name, but there is some ambiguity as to whether I am biracial or not. I plan on not listing my race on my college applications.

I have an unweighted GPA of 3.74, weighted GPA of 4.75

I took all honors or AP classes in high school. Counting my senior year, I will have taken 11 AP classes by the time I graduate.
AP Bio Exam: 5
AP Psych Exam: 5
AP Euro Exam: 5
AP Lang/Comp Exam: 5
(I only took AP exams that I knew I would get 5’s in)

SAT Score: 2120 (CR 740 Math 680 Writing 700)
I have only taken the SAT once. I’ll probably retake my SATS in October.
SAT IIs-
Math 1: 640 (planning on not submitting)
Bio E: 780
Lit: 710

EC’s
Newspaper 4 years
(Copy Editor/Centerspread Editor for 1 year, News Editor for 1 year)
Colorguard 4 years
Young Democrats 1 year
Gay-Straight Alliance 3 years
Philosophy Club (some how listed on my transcript though I barely went…) 1 year (maybe I’ll make it 2…)
Founder and leader of Gender Equality Club 1 year (I started it last year and it won’t count until my senior year)
National Honor Society 2 years

My school doesn’t rank but being in the National Honor Society implies that I’m in the top 15(?)%

I was a finalist and placed 2nd in my school league’s creative writing contest
I won several awards for my student newspaper and I think I was published in our local newspaper

I volunteered at the YMCA for two weeks. I also did some one or two day volunteering for my church and for an anti-breast cancer organization. Being in NHS has required me to volunteer in some school-related things. I currently volunteer at an animal shelter and have spent over 30 hours doing so.

I’m a pretty good writer and I am confident about my Common App essay.

My guidance counselor loves me and I am confident about my two teacher recommendations as well.

Dad is Harvard undergrad, UChicago grad
Mom is Fordham undergrad, USC grad

I want to go to a small-ish school that is not terribly far away from the East Coast–though I wouldn’t mind going to a far away school if it was a perfect fit! I plan on majoring in the biological sciences (more specifically, animal studies, behavioral studies, or environmental studies), creative writing, or religious studies/theology (more specifically South Asian theology). I am planning on double majoring and studying abroad.

Money is not a huge concern.

What schools would you suggest I apply to?
Thanks in advance :)

Many of the Catholic Us might match including U Dayton. What do you mean by South Asian? Hindu?

Brown popped into my mind… Bowdoin and Middlebury will do…

Wellesley, Vassar, Carleton…any of the LACs on that level. You should check on the religion offerings. All of them should have good enough offerings in biology. Most of the Catholic schools would be safeties, and one certainly does not have to attend a religiously-affiliated school to major in religion.

Brown is a good fit but its extremely selective. I second the Bowdoin and Middlebury suggestions.

Rhodes is a match on stats, it’s smallish, it’s on the right side of the Mississippi River, it has majors in bio, neuroscience, environmental science, environmental studies, and relgious studies and english (creative writing concentration). I don’t know how much specialization there is in south asian theology though. And if the volunteer work is something that you want to continue in college, services is a big part of the culture at Rhodes.

Boston College is a jesuit school and is really good.

For the combo that you are looking for you can’t beat Duke, but it is a reach.

Thank you guys for the suggestions! I’m interested in Bowdoin and Middlebury, but aren’t they reach schools for me? Brown and Duke are definitely reach schools for me.

I’m not particularly interested in going to a school with a religious affiliation because I’m afraid it will limit my study of theology to Judeo-Christian beliefs.

What about UChicago? Do I sound like a good match for that school?
