As stated above, you may want to consider your state universities.
I live in IL but U of I is very expensive :(. It’s cheaper for me to go out of state in a lot of states.
Wisconsin and Minnesota have good grad school economics programs so their undergrads are probably good, too. But Wisconsin, at least, is expensive for out of staters.
