[ *] Volunteer/Community service: 700 hours. I volunteer in the community by cleaning parks, helping underprivileged kids, organizing fundraisers, etc. I also volunteer at the hospital,as a youth swim coach,and I went to China one summer to help orphans in Sichuan after the earthquake.

Also I went to Boys State and I was the Senate Majority leader, the my party’s state central committee treasurer, and most importantly, the first alternate for Boys Nation. I also spend my summers self-studying various topics. I have already taken and gotten a edX certificate in the History of China, Intro to Sociology, and Intro to Macroeconomics. I am currently taking a course in the history of Eastern Europe.

I think you could get into any school (you won’t but from what I see every school will at least consider you). If your looking for a great school close to your home I would highly suggest Washington University in St. Louis.
