act: idk yet but i’m aiming for a 29/30

University of Findlay.

Just go into this with your eyes wide open. Pharmacy is a consolidating industry. Go look at the pharmacy board on this website. 20-30 years ago is was a great lower stress high paying job. That is changing.

University of Rhode Island. Great gem of a school and a fantastic pharmacy school. And you would be a great candidate.

I would make sure affordable is part of the answers. URI is reasonably priced

Purdue if you can get in has a VERY highly rated pharmacy program. Otherwise, trust me when I say unless you are at either end of the bell curve for pharmacy schools, your employer isn’t going to put a huge emphasis on your school. As long as you pass your NABPLEX you’ll be fine.

Now, as a practicing pharmacist I suggest very strongly that you pay attention to Eeyore’s comment above. Pharmacy projected huge growth and a pharmacist shortage back in the 90’s and 00’s and grossly overbuilt pharmacy schools and expanded classes and the projections turned out to be wrong. As a result, grads are fighting for jobs and can’t find one as many of the chains are actually cutting staff. If you have your heart set on pharmacy, make sure you specialize in clinical pharmacy and take a clinical job in a hospital or similar position. Forget retail unless it’s with an independent or you have the nerve to try and open your own store.

I worked retail for 25 years. It devolved from a good, professional job then to a hellhole sweatshop now with no regard to you as a professional or as a human being. I now work in long term care and have a great job but I will starve or dig ditches before I go back to retail.

St.John Fisher Uni in Rochester, Rochester is known for its medical, and St.John Fisher is known for its pharmacy studies, they have a whole building dedicated to its pharmacy studies as well.
