Good Stats, bad SAT!?

Hi, im an intl student. I have pretty good stats including my SAT II’s; however, my SAT I is horrible. In the case of Yale, Harvard or New York University, can a good GPA, good SAT II’s , good EC’s ang great recs compensate a bad SAT I?

That depends how horrible. If you have a major hook (URM status, recruit, etc), they can be overlooked, otherwise, they need to be decent. Although you can push them much lower at NYU than you can at Harvard, Yale, or the other Ivies.

Sat I: 1800 - 1900

Please note, that aldough my score is not good enough for Ivy’s, the average among non-americanized hispanics is much lower!!

So you’re hispanic?

If you are from Mexico, Central Am or PR, you will get a boost but South American isn’t considered URM.

NYU GSP would probably be an option with an 1800 if you don’t need aid.
