<p>My D attended Carnegie-Mellon’s program, and it was invaluable in preparing for auditions. At the end of the summer, the students are required to “audition” in front of a panel, using the monologues they have worked that summer. </p>
<p>CMU is designed to give the students an idea of what a conservatory education is like; for some, they decide that this is not what they want to be doing in college, and that is helpful, too. </p>
<p>When not in class or signed in for curfew, the students were allowed to go where they wanted, and my D enjoyed navigating her way around Pittsburgh. It is a lot of freedom, and so I have to say that I am glad my D was a rising senior when she went, and not a junior…</p>
