Good superscored SAT, mediocre otherwise?

I haven’t even broken 2200 in a single sitting, but my superscore is 2260. Will the scores in the range of 2100-2200 bring me down some in the eyes of college admission officers, even though my superscore is competitive?

I’m just worried they’ll see a sub-700 score in CR one time, and a sub-700 score in M the next, and then relegate my application to the discard pile.

Also, I’m a very low income Hispanic from a single parent family, if that helps my chances any.

Doubt it, you still have a great score. I’m sure it wouldnt hurt to study some more and take the next one.

At some schools, someone inputs each highest score and your other scores are not even visible. At least this is what we heard on several admissions tours. And a 2100-2200 is a really good score so even for those schools that look at every score from every test, you are still in great shape.

Colleges that superscore (and that’s most) will use the 2260. Don’t worry

Agree with Erin’s Dad and those that don’t super-score will still be impressed. Hispanic helps too.

Make sure you check out the scholarships available to high achieving Hispanic and/or low income students to see what the qualifications are and when the applications are due. (Google it.) Many require letters of rec and transcripts as well. You don’t want to get in somewhere and find that your financial aid package isn’t sufficient. You should also visit your career and college placement center at your high school if you have one to see what they have on file. Check out scholarships listed for other high schools in your area. We were amazed at what was out there.

If they superscore, they would look for your highest section scores. The idea is one may miss a few questions accidentally, but you cannot get a higher score solely by luck.
