Good ways to prepare for CR and W?

Would you mind sharing some advice on preparing for CR and W?
Thanks.

For writing, go over Rocket Review section for writing and Sparknote’s Seven Deadly Screwups. After you have done that, do practice tests in the blue book and carefully do the MC for writing. Then, check over your answers and explanations in the online explanations. The writing questions are most predictable since the same type of errors and questions appear each time.

For Critical Reading, read How to Attack the SAT Critical Reading Efficiently. Go over both volumes of direct hits, and then practice in the blue book, going over all the answers online. Remember, all of the passage questions are in the text!

How to prepare for the sections without using the books?

^
Take practice tests from the Blue Book. I think the BB is a necessity if you plan on doing some efficient studying. In addition, the CR and Sparknotes links are free resources.
